Stones & Pearls

✦ Rose Quartz

One of the most abundant minerals on earth, rose quartz forms deep within pegmatite rock through a slow crystallisation process that can take millions of years. Its signature blush tone comes from trace amounts of titanium, iron and manganese woven into its structure.

Found across Brazil, Madagascar and South Africa, rose quartz has been used as a symbol of love and beauty since at least 600 BC. The Romans and Egyptians carved it into talismans and face masks, believing it could preserve youth and attract affection. It has been a stone of the heart across nearly every ancient culture.

Connected to the heart chakra, rose quartz is the stone of unconditional love, compassion and emotional healing. It gently dissolves old wounds, encourages self acceptance and opens the heart to give and receive love more freely. Soft in colour, powerful in energy. The quietest stones often carry the most.

✦ Opal

Born from ancient silica carried by rainfall deep into the earth's cracks and cavities, opal is the only gemstone that captures light itself. Over millions of years, tiny spheres of silica arrange in orderly layers, diffracting light into shifting colour, a phenomenon known as play-of-colour. No two opals are identical, and no two moments in the same stone are quite alike.

Revered across ancient civilisations as a stone of prophecy and protection, opal was known to the Romans as opalus, a stone that held the beauty of every other gem within it. In Aboriginal Australian tradition, opal was formed where the creator's foot first touched the earth, bringing with it fire and colour.

Connected to the crown and sacral chakras, opal is said to amplify intention and heighten perception, making the seen more vivid, and the felt more true. It is a stone for those who live at full feeling, encouraging creativity, spontaneity, and an honest relationship with the self.

Mother of Pearl

Formed in the hidden chambers of the sea, mother of pearl grows layer by layer within the shell, shaped by time, water, and the instinct to protect. Its silvery surface shimmers with shifting light, opalescent, fluid, and delicate, like captured starlight.

Revered across cultures for its connection to the moon and tides, mother of pearl symbolizes intuition, renewal, and emotional strength. Its cool, luminous tones enhance meditation and inner reflection, amplifying feminine wisdom and psychic sensitivity.

Linked to the heart and crown chakras, mother of pearl calms the spirit and restores emotional balance. It is a material of quiet power, reminding us that beauty can be built in silence and that even protection can shine.

Freshwater Pearls

Formed layer by layer in the rhythm of water, freshwater pearls are shaped by time, patience, and imperfection. Each one is ethically sourced and hand-selected for its soft glow and organic form. Curved, irregular, and luminous, no two are alike.

Across cultures, pearls have long symbolised purity, wisdom, and femininity. Ancient myths believed them to be tears of the gods or fragments of moonlight fallen into the sea, tokens of beauty born from mystery.

Linked to the heart and crown chakras, freshwater pearls invite emotional clarity and self acceptance. More than adornment, each one is a quiet reflection of your journey, imperfect and luminous in its own way.
