✦ Labradorite

Named after Labrador, Canada, where it was first identified, labradorite is famous for labradorescence, a flash of blue, gold or green that seems to move across the stone as it catches the light, caused by thin layers within the mineral that split and reflect light like a soap bubble. Turn it in your hand and it can look almost plain one moment, then flare into colour the next.

Labradorite has long been associated with the Northern Lights by Inuit legend, said to have fallen from the Aurora Borealis and become trapped in stone along the Labrador coast.

Connected to the throat and crown chakras, labradorite is known as a stone of transformation and intuition. It's said to strengthen inner clarity, guard against draining energy, and support change during times of transition. Mysterious, luminous and endlessly shifting, labradorite carries a little of the night sky within it.

Each piece is made with natural materials that age beautifully with proper care.
