The little sister to our Madre Natura necklace, these drops stack two raw chrysoprase nuggets beneath a glowing freshwater pearl. The pearl stud detaches, so you get two looks in one: a delicate pearl stud for everyday wear, or the full drop for something more. Naturally asymmetrical and unmistakably one of a kind.

✦ Chrysoprase

Formed within nickel-rich deposits where silica-laden waters slowly crystallised through ancient rock, chrysoprase is a variety of chalcedony prized for its rare, soft apple green hue, a colour caused by trace nickel that no other chalcedony naturally achieves. Its name comes from the Greek words for gold and leek, a nod to the warm glow that moves through its translucent, waxy surface.

The finest chrysoprase was once sourced almost exclusively from a single deposit in Szklary, Poland, mined since the Bronze Age and prized so highly it was set into royal jewellery and architecture across 18th century Europe, including Frederick the Great's Sanssouci Palace.

Linked to the heart chakra, chrysoprase is said to invite compassion, growth, and emotional renewal, easing a restless mind and drawing you back toward joy. Earthy at its root, vivid in its bloom, it's the stone of quiet growth.

Formed layer by layer in the rhythm of water, freshwater pearls are shaped by time, patience, and imperfection. Each one is ethically sourced and hand-selected for its soft glow and organic form. Curved, irregular, and luminous, no two are alike.
